When I go onto Medicare, can I use my own doctor?

When you go on traditional Medicare and choose to get Medicare Supplement insurance, there are no networks, and you have the freedom to choose any doctor and any hospital that accepts Medicare.

Many people ask about spending the winter in Florida or a warmer climate. You will be covered the same as if you were in Illinois, whether you're in Florida, Arizona, Texas, or any other state. Travel with peace of mind knowing your insurance is good wherever you go. You also don't have to worry about paying a higher cost for being "out of Network".

On the other hand, if you choose a Medicare Advantage plan, you may be required to use your plan's network of doctors and hospitals, but this will depend on the type of plan you have, such as HMO, PPO, PFFS, or SNP.
