The 2023 season at 4 E’s Trees is here! 4 E’s Trees is a family-owned business near Mt. Zion, IL. All of their trees come from their family tree farm, and 2023 marks their 58th year in business.

You can stop by and pick up your Christmas tree until December 10, 2023. 4 E's is closed on Thanksgiving.

4 E’s Trees is named after Frank and Marge Evans four sons: Don, Ron, Larry, and Steve. Ron Evans now runs the farm.

At 4 E’s Trees, you can buy more than just a Christmas tree – they offer handmade Evans family wreaths, ornaments, and holiday decorations.

They’re open every day:

  • Monday-Thursday: 10am-3pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 9am-4pm
  • Sunday: Noon-4pm

Lowe’s will be selling Christmas trees this year. The trees are available now! A customer service representative at the store says the live trees are sourced from North Carolina.

Live, cut trees will be available outside in the garden center, and boxed-up trees are available now in the store.

Menards will be selling live Christmas trees this year. They’re already available, and a store representative said there are plenty to choose from!

The live trees come from Wisconsin and are available in the garden center.

Glenview Christmas Tree Farm

While not in Decatur, Glenview Christmas Tree Farm was in Macon County (Argenta, IL), so we thought we should provide in update.

Many have enjoyed visiting this tree farm in year’s past, but in 2018, they announced they have permanently closed after 32 years of business. Unfortunately, they will not be selling any more Christmas trees.


While it can be convenient to pick up your live Christmas tree at Lowe’s or Menards, please consider supporting local business here in Decatur by shopping at 4 E’s Trees!
